As I look at the remainder of the year, two words keep standing out: Focus and Momentum.
Focus.
Most of us are juggling too many priorities right now. The reality? You don’t need to focus on 10 different opportunities, you only need the right 1–3. Write them down today. Then ask yourself, “What can I do right now to move these deals forward?”
Momentum.
Robert Schuller once said, “Don’t cash in, cast into deeper water.” Translation: don’t coast after a win. Keep the line tight and stay HUNGRY for more.
Here are 3 quick ways to build momentum today:
*Remember the 80/20 rule: your best customer is the one you already have*
- Slow down and map out your strategy for best deal in your pipeline.
- Talk to a mentor or trusted advisor about a stalled deal. Fresh eyes bring fresh ideas.
Call a current customer and simply ask, “Why did you choose us, and how are we doing?” If they’re happy, ask if they’ll be a reference. - Pick up the phone and take prioritized action. Action creates confidence, and confidence fuels momentum.
Don’t wait for momentum. Create it.
