This quote hit me this week.

“Security is mostly a superstition. It doesn’t exist in nature, nor do the children of men experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”
Helen Keller

There is no safety in staying still or “waiting for something to magically happen or close in sales.” Risk, effort, discomfort are the arenas where sales growth happens.

So How Do We Stand Out?

We choose to do more than average.

“Not doing more than the average is what keeps the average down.”
William Winans

Average isn’t where you’re called to live. It’s where people get stuck.

Want to grow? Try this:

“Undertake something difficult; it will do you good. Unless you try to do something beyond what you’ve already mastered, you will never grow.”
Ronald Osborn

This is the mindset that separates those who survive Q4 from those who thrive in it.

And one of my heroes, Jon Mason, said it best:

“The impossible IS possible. The one who is afraid of doing too much always does too little.”
(Be Yourself, p. 58)

Let that sink in.


This Week’s Challenge:

Don’t fear the work.
Don’t back down from the opportunity.

Instead…

  • Attack your business plan with boldness
  • Serve your customers with heart
  • Show up every day with tact, passion, and grit

Keep calling. Keep listening. Keep giving your best.

You were not built to settle.
