For some of you, the pressure is off. You’re cruising into the holiday’s quota-free.
Must be nice. 😉
But many of us, including me, are still in the fight.
There’s still work to be done. Numbers to hit. Quotas to exceed.
(That’s why sales is a different animal).
Here’s the truth:
Unless you’ve got opportunities sitting at the 1-yard line, or customers ready to burn leftover budget, or high-volume products your sell. Realistically, you only have a few chess moves left on the board. Use them wisely.
Yesterday in church, I heard something that stopped me in my tracks:
Our pastor said: “Your Motives Matter”.
Let that sink in.
Your customers feel your motives. They sense your intent.
Character and reputation matter, maybe more than we realize, especially in the final hustle and bustle of the year.
So as you approach these last few days:
- Don’t be pushy.
- Don’t be vague.
- Be clear, direct, and human.
Just ask:
“Mr./Mrs. Customer, is there a way we can find a win-win before the year ends?”
“How can we make this happen??”.
If you’ve earned their trust, they’ll show up.
Find the how. Ask sincerely.
We all want to deliver results. But let’s not sacrifice our values to do it.
This season is a powerful reminder:
The God of the Universe (Jesus) came in the form of a baby—to redeem us, to walk with us, to remind us what character, humility and purpose look like.
When you know God’s got you, you can swing for the fences with a smile on your face.
So…
Go finish strong.
Live honorably.
And realize your Motives matter.
And don’t forget to smile and bring JOY to every interaction this week.
