December isn’t just the end of the quarter, it’s the pressure cooker where burnout peaks, urgency spikes, and self-doubt can oftentimes creep in.

Right now, here’s my experience of what most salespeople are experiencing:

❌ The 3 Big Challenges:

  1. Mental Clutter + Distraction
Your calendar is packed. Leadership is pushing (sorry y’all its our job 😊). Your inbox is flooded. You know what matters, but you’re pulled in 10 directions and losing clarity.
  2. Creative Fatigue
You’ve been working hard all year, and now when you need fresh ideas, your tank feels empty. You’re stuck in “reactive mode,” instead of proactively creating solutions.
  3. Toxic Self-Talk
The closer we get to year-end, the louder the fear gets:
“What if I don’t hit it?” “Why does it feel so hard?”
Performance-based identity starts to spiral. – Don’t fall into it!

Let me give you 3 ways to fight back this December so you don’t just survive Q4… you set the tone for Q1!

1. Quiet the Clutter—Control What You Can

Yes, there’s a lot out of your control right now. But what CAN you influence business wise today?
-Your outreach/effort
-Your mindset/positivity.
-Your effort.

Start each morning thinking/praying and asking:
Where can I truly move the needle (business wise) TODAY? Focus your efforts on that.

2. Get Creative Again

You don’t need 10 hours, you need 1 hour of clear, focused thinking.
-Step away from the noise.
-Grab a pen and paper. Jot down everything that comes to mind.
-Think through ways to re-engage deals, surprise a customer, or add unexpected value.

Creativity comes when we detach for a moment and think deeply. Make space.

3. Guard Your Inner Voice & Self Talk

-You are not your quota.
-You are not your number.
-You are here on this earth for more than this moment. Pray and talk to God about it!

Speak truth to yourself daily:
“I was made for this. I’m called to serve. I will show up fully—one day at a time.”

Forget obsessing over outcomes. Lock into the process. Do the work. Trust God for the results you want.

The Bottom Line:

You can finish strong. But you won’t do it from fear, pressure, or perfectionism.
You’ll do it by getting clear, staying creative, and choosing to speak life over your own mind.

Go get ‘em. You’ve got more in you than you think.
