Welcome to the first full week of February 2026! Time to get things rolling this year!
I heard a quote recently that made me stop and reflect:
“You can predict a person’s future by their awareness of their purpose.”
That hit home for me.
I remember my first shot as a sales rep for a small medical device company. I talk about this in Relentless Sales, but I went ALL IN—because my purpose was crystal clear.
At that time…
- I had battled through 7+ years of career adversity
- My first child was on the way (needed to provide)
- And I had something to prove—to myself and the world (chip on the shoulder)
That fire and passion drove me.
But here’s the question: How do we keep that fire burning, year after year?
How do we stay hungry, passion, effort and energy needed to be successful year-over-year. or when the wins don’t come easy?
I believe the answer is Purpose.
When you combine a clear, unshakable purpose with strong sales skills and real mental toughness we outline in Relentless Sales—you become hard to beat.
So let me ask you:
🔹 How strong is your Sales Purpose?
🔹 Why do you do what you do?
🔹 And how are you going to get there?
Take 5 minutes at some point today and reconnect with your “why.” Write it down. Recommit to it.
