What's up, Relentless Fam? Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Last week, we discussed Law #6: Celebrate Other People's Success, and this week is a big one—we launch THE HUNT in just 2 days!

This course outlines the keys to building structure in your sales process and is my personal sales playbook.

I’m incredibly excited to finally share this system with you. If you've been considering joining us, this is your reminder that presale pricing ends July 1st, so be sure to grab your copy before then.

As you know, we're in the middle of our series:

The 10 Laws of High-Performance Selling

Today, we're discussing...

Law #7 – Next Play.

Sales is often hard and can be very stressful.

Every B2B sales professional knows the pressure that comes with carrying quotas, customer issues, missed opportunities, and the fear of making a mistake.

Conversation can go sideways which can sometimes cost you a deal.

Bad weeks or months can make you question whether you're any good at what you do.

Can you relate?

Be encouraged! Here's what I've learned over the years, and ironically, I'm living it this week.

We're often our own worst critic.

We replay our conversations over-and-over in our minds. We obsess over our mistakes and tactile errors…

We beat ourselves up far longer than we should.

But I’ve learned there is a difference between learning from failure and living in failure (excessive self pity).

That's where Faith and mindset come together.

God extends us grace every single day. We should pursue excellence, prepare relentlessly, and always put our customers' interests first.

But as humans when we inevitably fall short...

So…

Learn. Pray. Adjust.

And tell yourself, “Next Play.”

Side Note: One habit that's helped me tremendously is keeping a note in my phone titled "Lessons I'm Learning."

Every time I make a mistake, I write down what I learned and what I'll do differently next time.

Not to replay over-and-over but to sharpen myself so I can learn the lesson and get better.

So today, here's my encouragement:

Take ownership.

Learn the lesson.

Give yourself more grace.

Don't wallow in self-pity.

#NextPlay

God isn't finished with your story. He's using both your victories and your setbacks to strengthen your character and prepare you for what's ahead.

Question of the Week:

What's one lesson you've learned recently that has made you a better salesperson or leader?

I'd love to hear it.

Stay Relentless, Fam!
