Good morning, Relentless Fam! Happy Monday! 💪

This weekend, I had the opportunity to spend some time in Frisco, Colorado, hiking with my dad.

What an awesome experience and something I won’t ever forget!

On the way down the mountain, with our legs burning, breathing heavy, and watching every step, my dad and I started talking about how climbing a mountain feels like pursuing anything important in life.

  • A career.
  • A sales goal.
  • Building a family.
  • Leading a team.

Becoming the person you know you're capable of becoming.

Everybody loves the view from the summit.

But nobody gets there without the climb.

That climb reminded me of 5 things:

  1. Mentality. You don’t climb a mountain in one giant step. Progress takes time. You have to stay mentality tough, so pace yourself.
  2. Watch your footing. Every step matters. Be intentional. Don’t get sloppy. And keep integrity first, always.
  3. Pick your head up. You have to stop occasionally and make sure you're still headed in the right direction. Evaluate. Adjust. Pivot when needed.
  4. Lean on the people climbing beside you. The right people push you to climb higher. Encourage each other, challenge each other, and keep moving forward together. Keep your inner circle close.
  5. Perseverance. At some point, it will get harder than you expected. Your legs will burn. Your gas tank will empty, and you will get tired. Progress may feel slow.

Keep climbing anyway.

Because everybody wants the view from the summit.

But the climb is what builds you. And you know what? You feel better afterwards.

Have an awesome week!
