In sales, hesitation will cause you all sorts of trouble. I’m raising my hand here as I am guilty as anyone.

We often think of the overly dominate salesperson who is arrogant and pushy when we think of being decisive in sales.

The reality is, the best salespeople don’t just identify opportunities, they confidently & humbly are assertive and close them. If you’ve done the work, built the relationships, and proven the value, don’t let doubt creep in.  Trust God and humbly & confidently ask for business.         

One of my favorite ways to close a deal when we are at the goal line is to say:

“Mr./Mrs. Customer, after discussing this xyz product or service over the last ______ weeks or months, I am FULLY convinced this is the right thing for you and your organization. We discussed all the advantages, List them: 1)__________ 2)__________ & 3__________. What do you say? Let’s do this!”

At that moment, the customer is looking to you for certainty. If you hesitate, they hesitate. If you confidently and humbly lead, they follow.

The reality? You are not just selling a product, you are solving their issues, pain and problems. Salespeople are helpers and problem solvers.

Believe that you are adding value to your customers today!
