One of the biggest mindsets shifts I wanted to get across in Relentless Sales is this:
You don’t need to prove who you are through sales. You need to let who you are drive how you sell.
Too many sellers tie their self-worth to the outcome of a deal.
I Won the Deal = “I’m good.”
I Lost the Deal = “I’m not enough.”
That’s a trap.
When you sell for your identity, you’re chasing validation and it’s a losing game.
But when you sell from your identity, you’re grounded—secure, focused, and free from the pressure to perform for approval.
Coming off Easter, this hit even deeper for me.
Faith in Jesus is the ultimate identity game changer.
It’s not just about confidence—it’s about calling (we are here for a bigger reason).
I’m not selling to become someone.
I already am someone because of Christ.
That should free us all up to serve with clarity, lead with humility, and sell with integrity.
If you haven’t read Relentless Sales yet—or if it’s been a while—go back and re-read Chapter 2 on Identity.
It’s one of the most foundational, freeing reminders in the whole book.
Go get it this week!
