Relentless Sales: The 10 Laws of High-Performance Selling

What’s up, Relentless Fam? Happy Monday, June 8th!

Last week, we discussed Law #3: Keep a Full Pipeline and announced our new course launching July 1st: THE HUNT. I’m incredibly excited about this course and how it will help sales professionals and organizations level-up their performance.

As you know, we’re in the middle of our series:

The 10 Laws of High-Performance Selling

These are powerful principles I’ve been thinking about, refining, and doing my best to apply every day.

So far, we’ve covered:

Today, we’re diving into:

Law #4: Be Very Clear About Your Priorities

Years ago, I heard a leader in a large organization say:

“Be sure you are VERY clear about your priorities.”

For some reason, that statement hit me differently and I immediately wrote it down.

With all the activity, meetings, emails, close rates, and packed schedules, it’s easy to stay busy. But are you focused on the true needle movers? Are you spending your time on the things that matter most?

Years ago, my dad—who we call Chief—and I attended a leadership and motivational event featuring speakers like Zig Ziglar, Colin Powell, Laura Bush, and Coach Lou Holtz.

Coach Holtz opened the event with what felt like a locker-room speech. He fired up the crowd from the very beginning.

And honestly, I don’t remember much of what anyone else said that day.

But I still remember Coach Holtz’s message:

W.I.N. — What’s Important Now?

He said, “If you do nothing else, focus on W.I.N.”

That simple idea has stayed with me ever since.

Over the years, I’ve developed a small system to help me stay focused on what’s most important. I created a one-page tool called the Zoned Territory, which helps me stay locked in on my highest priorities. (We’ll cover it in detail in THE HUNT.)

I also have calendar reminders that pop up throughout the day asking one simple question:

W.I.N. — What’s Important Now?

It’s amazing how often that question helps me reset and refocus.

So here’s your challenge today:

What is important NOW?

Write down your priorities.

Stack-rank them in order of importance.

Then make sure your time and energy are aligned with those priorities. (Don’t waste your time on the small stuff).

Because being busy isn’t the goal.

Being effective is.

You’ve got this.

Stay Relentless, Fam!
