“Example is not the main thing in influencing others… it is the only thing.”
— Albert Schweitzer

If you want to grow in sales, start by growing as a leader.

You don’t need a title to lead. You don’t need a team reporting to you. You need one thing: influence. And influence always starts with you doing your best to be the example.

In every season of my sales journey, one truth stands out: the best salespeople don’t just know their product—they lead themselves well, serve their customers (truly add value), and are passionate and focused on mission. They raise the standard wherever they go. And they never stop growing/developing:

4 Important Sales Days Left in July — do these 3 things with purpose this week to finish STRONG:

1. Value Your Customers

  • Joy influences. And people can feel the difference when you truly care. Be intentional this week with every conversation.

2. Encourage the People Around You

  • Sales isn’t a solo sport. Whether it’s a teammate, a fellow rep, or a customer—speak encouragement into someone today. A well-timed word can change someone’s direction.

3. Be the Example

  • You’ll never be perfect. But every day, you can keep chipping away at becoming the salesperson—and leader—you’re called to be.
